Egnater Rebel 20 Practice Amp

Bruce Egnater’s Rebel 20 amp head is one of the forerunners to the compact, low powered amp assault. These amps blend simplicity with colossal tone to offer boutique quality at a sensible price. This lunchbox all valve head has an authoritative tone that can be tuned to any style from jangly cleans to brutal growls.

The 20 watt amp features a full arsenal of tubes: three 12AX7 Sovteks run the preamp whilst two 6V6 and two EL84 JJ tubes drive the power. The scalable Watts control can operate at either 1 watt to 20 watts, so a 1am practice session or a smoky gig at the local club is all doable with this one amp.

Egnater Rebel 20

The Rebel 20 lets you call up any voicing with Egnater’s innovative Tight and Bright settings. Much like its younger brother, the Egnater Tweaker, the Rebel 20 is a knob twiddler’s paradise. The real draw card here is the innovative Tube Mix knob. This control combines characteristics of the traditional Fender style American cleans of the 6V6 power tubes, or the British Vox inspired chimes through to the Marshall wails of the EL84s and anything in-between.

A great deal of the amp’s schizophrenia can be found in Egnater’s Modular Series with interchangeable amp module stages (which is also licensed to Randall Amplifiers). The Rebel 20 brings this together in one small compact amp. To top it off these Egnater amp features a buffered effects loop to preserve your tone, this is not usual in many of the low watt practice amp heads.

Combine the Rebel 20 amp with the Custom Voiced Egnater Celestion Elite-80 Speaker cabinet for a perfect mini stack.
